About
I'm a conservatory and college graduate based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. After finishing my classical studies in Sergei Rachmaninov Conservatory in Guayaquil, I got my undergraduate degree in jazz studies at San Francisco University of Quito, part of the Berklee International Network. I have worked with several musicians from the Ecuadorean pop and jazz scene, performed in jazz festivals like the Ecuador Jazz Fest (2019 and 2021) and UCSG Jazz (2022 and 2023) Fest. As a college undergrad, I performed in the university's big band for over three years and have taught piano and music for over 9 years. Having teachers from Berklee, NYU, MSM and many other prestigious universities, I inherited the tradition of Black American music and strive to help you achieve your goals as quickly and painlessly as possible.
My lessons are tailored to your needs! Whether you wanna get good at jazz, pop, sight reading, ear training, etc., I try to teach my students the process behind creating, not only "how to play". Good doctors want to cure their patients, good teachers want their students to (eventually) not depend on them!
Perfect! AMAZING instructor!! I am so lucky I found Eduardo! He is so good at explaining complicated concepts and really breaks everything down. He is really gifted at understanding what exactly it is you want to learn and creates a great plan to help you do so!
I am so excited for my next lesson! Thank you so much Eduardo!

Perfect! You can tell that Eduardo truly has a connection to the piano. There is a difference between him and other teachers I have met with. Everyone else that I have met here has been a lot more hyper-focused, but Eduardo navigates the piano with ease. He doesn't need you to buy a piano book to learn with him because he is the book! The knowledge is all within him.

Perfect! Eduardo is a delight, a skilled guide into to world of jazz piano. His love and understanding of the instrument and the music is manifest, and his teaching method is sound, combing work at the keyboard with listening and a little bit of history. He started with some deep listening, learning exactly where I was in my journey and what my goals were, and tailored our lessons to me. His enthusiasm is contagious - Eduardo is highly recommended.
