About

I am very excited that you are looking at my profile and I'm looking forward to working with you in helping you learn physics or math, which are an essential part of a critical thinking training. I came to America from the former Soviet Union, where I majored in Physical and Mathematical Sciences and received a Ph.D. degree for the theoretical study of nuclear structure. Another Ph.D. Diploma was received from Old Dominion University, where I proceeded with theoretical studies of the nuclear processes working in collaboration with the theory group at Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab). After graduation, I had an opportunity to verify my theoretical study through participation in the matching experiment as a postdoctoral research assistant at Rutgers University. I have been teaching at schools and colleges for over 10 years. (

I am also a human being with family and kids. I enjoy spending time with them no matter where our journey brings us. On my way to campus, I listen to the Great Courses lectures and classical music and dream about the time when I will be able to read a good book. I love learning new things. It comes naturally. I get interested in solving a problem, look for the resources available, and start browsing through resources to select the best one to learn from.

Please open your mind and heart to this opportunity to learn about Nature at work or the patterns in nature described by math. You will be fascinated with its divine design.

The challenge I face as a physics teacher is engaging my students and exciting them about the wonders of the natural world. I always try to create a friendly but professional atmosphere in my classrooms, which allows the teacher and the student to embark on a scholarly journey into the unknown. I believe that this journey requires self-discipline, mutual respect, friendly and healthy comradeship, hard work, dedication, and honesty. On behalf of both, the students and the teacher I feel that it is important to introduce the unknowns and mysteries in physics and science in general, as puzzles waiting for a solution those students can take part in finding. These mysteries are compelling, intriguing and are a part of our modern culture. In many instances, the knowledge gained in pursuit of the mysteries has important real-world consequences. My mission is to make sure that physical concepts and physics are both fully understood, by always stressing critical thinking using the scientific method.
