Specialist music artist - cellist, graduated from Faculty of music in Belgrade with highest grades, with 11 years of teaching experience and 2 years of teaching online. I am employed in a boarding school for musically gifted children in Serbia, where I teach students from 8 to 18 years of age, but my online students are both children and adults, beginners and intermediate players. I taught chamber music for 3 years, and worked as a primary cello section teacher in SEYO (Sistema Europe Youth Orchestra) in 2015. I am a member of string trio "Alegra" from Serbia.
Primarily, I will show you proper technique to achieve any musical demand. I'll help you think musically, use the laws of physics and the instrument nature. My approach is very open, adaptive and motivative for an individual research while practicing. I'll guide you to practice smart and in control, organize and progress faster.
My lessons consist on:
1. Mastering technique (make your hands and posture the perfect tool for accomplishing any musical demand on your instrument);
2. Learning fast sight-reading (managing new music with ease), including the knowledge of musical epoques, solfeggio and harmony, to anticipate the flow in music.
3. Correlation between phrasing (dynamics, tempo, sound effects) and technical possibilities to achieve it - how to make the best fingerings and correct bowings, how to achieve perfect intonation with less effort, in order to help the music sound better;
4. Breathing technique in playing and overcoming stage-fright methods.
I use a combination of Sh. Suzuki method and European cellists' technique of teaching (K. Davydov, R. Sapozhnikov, L. Marderovsky, D. Popper etc.)
