About

Passionate and enthusiastic music educator with more than 10 years of teaching experience both in private and class lessons. As an active music teacher in Kindergartens, at the American International School of Cyprus and (as a music Supply teacher) at the Senior & Junior School of Cyprus, i had the opportunity to learn how to plan and execute targeted lesson plans according to the classroom possibilities, to coordinate and discipline in the classroom as well as arrange and organize final shows of each academic year. As a private music teacher i give Piano, French Horn and Electric Bass lessons to students (starting from 5-6 years old) and adults. Well organized and hard working, committed for the perfect results. Positive attitude to develop a valuable, cohesive and innovative experience for students through music.

My music journey officially started on my 6th year by starting learning the piano and then on my 11th year I added the French Horn as my second musical instrument. That was my chance of becoming a French horn player for 13 years in the National Youth Orchestra of Cyprus, and being a member of various chamber music projects, such as ''The Kind of Brass'' project, The European University of Nicosia band, and various wind quintets participating in concerts in Istanbul, London, Malta and various regions and th islands of Greece. In addition i have selected based on auditions to participate with scholarship in the American ''Apple Hill'' Chamber Music session II of 2010 in New Hampshire - USA , by the European University of Cyprus to participate in the Improvisation Summer Session of 2012
in Paola - Italy and by the Youth Orchestra of Cyprus to attend the Brass ensemble Session in Corfu 2010. This gave me the opportunity to be involved with and learn deeply about how rehearsals, concerts and other musical procedures work and get organized.

Then, after my music studies as a French Horn performer and music educator, my music journey led me to a more popular kind of music having as leader the Electric Bass Guitar - a musical instrument that I have always admired - with more than 10 years of professional live performances in various stages in Cyprus and Greece as a member of the Blues-Rock band ''Smokin' Aces'', ''The Scarlett Echoes''- an all female Progressive Rock band,  in many sound recordings and concerts as a session player and in a tv show participating to the band of the  ''Louis Patsalides Night Show''.

Now as an active performer i am a Bass player to the female Pop-Funk band ''The Popknots'' and a multi-instrumentalist to Story-telling workshops for children and adults which they usually take place in schools, museums, theaters and other cultural places.

My teaching style is to be flexible according to the student's preferences and abilities. Trying always to combine music theory and practice while both are interrelated and of course to make the student enjoy the lesson through a positive and supportive experience.
