Ellynne Rey is a professional singer based in the New York greater metro area. She performs in a variety of settings, has recorded a few CDs, and is currently on the music faculty of 2 universities in Connecticut. She is also a songwriter, lyricist, and composer/pianist. Critics have praised her warm mezzo voice, musicality, and her work:

Ellynne is warm, friendly, and encouraging. She helps singers build a healthy foundation and personalizes her teaching to the needs of her students. Lessons consist of function-based voice exercises and developing vocal technique and awareness, performance skills, storytelling, ear training, and other skills such as sight reading, and music theory. She has experience in all vocal styles including Jazz, Musical Theater, Pop, Rock, and  Classical.

Ellynne studied jazz singing and jazz piano extensively with a variety of well known artists who are top working professionals in the field. She studied Classical/Opera for 6 years with a master teacher who had a 45 year career with the MET singing all the leading bass roles. She began her career fronting an indie rock band. Ellynne is a level III certified Somatic Voicework (TM the LoVetri Method) teacher.

Sheet music is often encouraged as well as using tracks and music minus one when appropriate. Materials used for lessons are individualized.

Method books are recommended for piano students according to their level.
