Erin Grasmeyer

Hello there! My name is Erin and I’m a piano and music theory teacher.

I have been playing piano for 15 years and I have my level 10  with  the Royal Conservatory of Music. I’m a future music major, and I will be studying at the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto in September of 2019. I have been teaching piano for the past 6 months, have peer-tutored a beginner's keyboard class  and I have also worked as a music theory consultant for an app.

I teach beginner and intermediate students of all ages. I like to focus in on what the student wants to learn. A lot of the time, I arrange the scores for my students, that way they play the music they want at their skill level.

My teaching style has an emphasis on fostering a love of music in the student. I tailor the lessons to the student’s abilities and and help them develop the skills needed for them to achieve their personal goals. I also arrange the sheet music for a song of the student’s choice at their skill level. I find that in doing so, students get more out of the lessons and are more motivated to practice.
