About
I have over 10 years of professional experience as a freelance trombonist, and current hold a studio of 16 private trombone and euphonium students. I teach introductory to advanced lessons, and have had private students accepted to the Interlochen Summer Academy, university music programs, and California All-State Honor Bands. I am principal trombone with the Santa Cruz Symphony and second trombonist for the Stockton Symphony and Symphony Silicon Valley. I have performed with the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, SF Ballet, Colorado Symphony and the Jalisco Philharmonic, among others. In 2016, I finished a one-year position as Associate Principal and 2nd trombone with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.
Teaching Style
Your lessons with me will focus on integrating technique with music, and understanding them as one integrated concept! You will learn fundamentals of playing a brass instrument, phrasing, music theory, and how to recreate your achievements in lessons while practicing on your own.
