About

Hello! My name is Evelyn and I am from Singapore. I started learning the piano when I was 3. I am a concert pianist.

Besides being a prize-winner of the American Protégé International Piano Competition, I have also competed in other competitions like Future Stars and Joyeux Music International. I previously took masterclasses under Michael Okser-Bulychev, Andreas Fröhlich, Krystian Tkaczewski, Yoshio Hamano and Dr. Tarin Supprakorn.

I studied under Roger Green in Trinity College of Music. I was a teacher assistant under Debbie DeMiero and Linda Kappus at Edmonds Community College.

I have been under the tutelage of Josephine Koh since 2013, studying piano, music theory and music history full-time. I hold licentiate degrees in music theory (LMusTCL) and piano performance (LTCL).

With a huge passion for the arts, I speak 7 languages fluently (English, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Croatian). This helps me to further understand the cultures and musical styles.

I wish to pass down my musical "knowledge" to anyone that has an interest in music!

It's okay if you don't have any experience. I am more than happy to kickstart your musical journey!

For those with some experience, I can help to further expand your knowledge!

After studying music theory, music history and orchestration for so many years, my interest has peaked. I would like to share my learnings with everyone!

Anyone that has an interest for music theory and history are welcome!

My lessons will be fun and flexible. They can be tailored to your needs and preference.

For beginners, we will start with note reading, time signature, key signature and rhythms.

For the advanced students, we will dive deeper into the musical world and learn more about the history (ranging from Renaissance to 20th Century).

The materials provided will suit your level of comfort.
