About

Born in Goiânia, he began his piano studies at the age of eighteen at the Lilian Music Center with the teacher Lilian Meire Silva and also with the renowned pianist Belkiss Spenciere from Goiás. Soon he started to stand out by obtaining awards in piano competitions in Brazil and abroad. Among his awards is the first place in the international Méknes contest in Morocco, fourth place in the Hyères contest in France, the Honorable Mention Award in Araçatuba-São Paulo and first place in the UFG music entrance exam. He has participated in numerous master classes with renowned pianists, for example; Belkiss Spenciere, George Kern, Sergey Dorensky, Almeida Prado and others. In 2001 and 2002 he participated in the Summer Akademie in Salzburg, Austria, returning to this country in 2003, 2004 and 2005 to study with Professor George Kern.

In 2007, he finished his Bachelor's Degree in Music at the Federal University of Goiás, being a student at the teacher Maria Helena Jayme. In the same year he was awarded a full master's scholarship at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where he earned his Master's degree in Piano Performance with teachers Teresa Bogard and Rubia Santos. In the US he performed several recitals in different cities including Chayenne, Grand Forks, Atlanta and New York at the renowned Carnegie Hall Theater. He has courses in the field of composition with renowned
artists such as Estércio Marques and Günther Bauer.

As a professional in the field of music, he was pianist of the choir of the Symphony Orchestra of Goiânia, pianist, composer, arranger and coordinator of the Ars Verum choir and piano teacher at Lilian Centro de Música, Gustav Ritter, Estúdio Ericka Vilela in addition to having served as an assistant professor at the University of Wyoming. At the moment he teaches at the Art Music school, where he is also director, coordinator and arranger. He has several award-winning students in the most important national competitions, such as the Souza Lima and Arte Livre competitions in São Paulo.

He has performed and recorded with local bands, performing as a pianist and keyboardist as well as music producer and composer. He is part of the band Movie Sessions that plays regularly in Goiânia and the region with a repertoire focused on movie soundtracks from the 70's, 80's and 90's. In the year 2016, with the new album released, he was responsible for the contract with the German label Pure Steel Records, having thus the work disseminated in countries such as the United States, Mexico, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Sweden, Austria, Finland, Argentina Germany, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Chile, Scotland, Belgium, France and England. He is responsible for the entire transcription of Heaven's Guardian songs for the orchestral grid, as well as coordinator of the Heaven's Guardian project and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Goiás, which became the first DVD throughout Latin America of a rock band with a classical orchestra, even winning the award for second best DVD of 2018 by the renowned Roadie Crew magazine. In the same poll open to the general public Everton Marin was ranked as the 5th Best Keyboardist in Brazil in 2018. 

In 2021 Everton Marin released his first solo album with piano pieces of his own. This one work has been widely praised by musicians in general and even had a preface written by one of the greatest composers in the country, Ricardo Tacuchian who was president of the Brazilian Academy of Music for 6 years. The piece Etude in Jazz nª1, which is part of the album Unleashed, was one of the 25 semifinalists of the important Festival of Rádio MEC in the Classical Music category. Another important concert held in 2021 was at the Canto da Primavera in Pirinópolis with the band Heaven's Guardian and the Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem de Goiás in an acoustic version.

My teaching method basically consists of developing an appropriate piano technique and achieving the specific goals of each student. All musical styles are used and explored and also music theory that gives the student the possibility to become independent.

I usually use books of music scores and theory and some methods like Czerny, Hanon, Liszt, Chopin, A Dozen A Day, Piano é Divertido, Bastien, and many other sources of music.
