About

Hi, I am Flor!

I am the passionate designer behind Ullvuna, a brand that have been inspiring and promoting creativity through Pin Loom Weaving for more than 15 years.

Pin Loom Weaving simply means portable weaving. Making piles of different geometric woven shapes like squares and triangles that with a bit of creativity will become endless stunning finished items like garments and decorations.

Through Ullvuna I design and develop all types of products related to Pin Loom Weaving, such as the popular Kayu multi loom, books, patterns and video classes that are mostly produced on demand in the US and sent worldwide. I also have my own annual class subscription called Woven Squares that Create Magic since 2023.

I am the author of 100 Pin loom Squares, a popular Pin Loom Weaving book translated to seven languages. I have lately self published two more books based on this technique.

I have been teaching in person and virtual Pin Loom Weaving classes for more than five years, working for Stitches-events for two years until it ended, and I am currently recording my first course with the Skillshare learning platform.  I have also been published by LittleLooms magazine.

Collaborating is something I love doing. I have worked with multiple brands, such as Prym, Gist, Schacht Spindle, Malabrigo Yarns, Cascade Yarns, Lion Brand Yarn and participated in weaving lectures and events for different Weaving associations in the US like MAFA and Illinois Prairie Weavers.

I have proudly founded the Mini Sweater Pin Loom Day, a Worldwide celebration that gathers all pin loom weavers around the globe each December 20th. We celebrated 5 years in 2023!

I also run The Ullvuna Community Facebook Group that you are welcome to join.

Welcome to the Pin Loom Weaving world!

All types of learners are accepted. I try to use different methods to explain and show in different ways a the same content, so everyone can learn.

I like to complement the best of the digital and manual world to design and also to teach, because they can be the best colleagues to explain an idea. So I support my classes with diagrams, charts, pictures and PDF files that enhance and describe every step in my lessons, made through the help of computing software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

I love questions and being in contact with my student. I can say that I learn from them as much as they do from me.

Bachelor in Design / Industrial Designer / Diploma in Innovation

I support each lesson with a PDF file that includes all the basic instructions of each lesson. I understand that when learning from scratch there is so much to retain, that it can be easily forgotten in just a few hours. Therefore keeping a digital file to go back and read when that happens is essential.
