Francesco Lisi

My name is Francesco Lisi. I am an accounting graduate; currently living in Egypt. I started playing guitar at the age of 10, and was self-taught. I have 10+ years of experience as a session and band guitarist, and 5 years of experience as a guitar instructor at music centers teaching all skill levels from beginners to advanced players. I have played many local gigs in Egypt over the years. 

I have taught myself how to play guitar over the internet and did a few one to one sessions with brilliant guitar players until I eventually became proficient enough with the instrument to be able to teach it. However; one of the struggles I have had over the years of continuous learning was amount of repeated content on the internet and in books that make the learning process seem a bit bland and uninteresting. As a teacher I understood the importance of including some of the overly used in the books exercises to improve techniques in the curriculum, but I tend to focus more on analyzing music, helping students understand the role of their instruments in any genre, developing songwriting skills, and MOST IMPORTANTLY how to unlock their unique character/Voice as a guitar player.

I like to tailor lessons plans to each student individually based off their music taste and playstyle as a guitar player. For me, I think it is very important to make the learning process interesting to my clients and make it as enjoyable as possible. I look forward to inspire my students to go pick up the guitar whenever they have the time to just enjoy themselves playing the instrument while developing as musicians.
