About

I have been working as an instrumental music teacher for the past 5 years, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide variety of students, ranging from different music abilities, ages, diverse backgrounds, public and private schools all over Melbourne and the outer regions.

I am also a professional musician outside of school teaching, so my goal is to inspire and motivate my students to fulfil all their musical pursuits, whether that is an AMEB exam, a recording session, live music setting or just for themselves - I’m always happy to help and enjoy seeing students thrive.

I feel my music skills and experience for both guitar and within the music industry, can provide students a ‘real world’ insight into how they might take their love of music and apply it to their everyday life, where it can help open a world of opportunities.

Being an instrumental music teacher by day, I can apply my love of music into my lessons and help each student whatever their age or ability. I feel I can relate to students just starting, as not that long ago that was me.

Teaching Style

Life goes so fast and I only have a short time to try to teach my students as much as I can and try to inspire them to start their own bands, write their own songs and hit the ground running as i did.

As I say to each student, we are not trying to be perfect because music is not meant to be perfect and there is no ‘better than’ someone else because we are always learning

I guess, in a way, I’m the teacher but they are the ones teaching me.
