About

Geno, life-long musician from Austin, Texas, grew up in the renowned 78704 zip code surrounded by some of Austin's most iconic musical legends like Rocky Erickson, Marcia Ball, and Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Geno started playing piano and taking voice lessons at age seven and later attended Austin High School, playing tuba in band and orchestra. He continued playing tuba in the Longhorn Band while earning his Bachelor of Music degree from University of Texas.

In his many years of music, Geno has played in numerous bands, written songs, taught private lessons and in public schools. He has directed and conducted many events, played gospel in church, preformed at weddings  and private events, owned Gott Music Music Store, gone on tours, and recorded and released albums.

Geno has taught private music lessons for over 25 years and has taught middle school high school Band, Choir, and Orchestra.

For his love of music Geno continues to play in bands, play gospel in church, directs and conducts events, and go on tours. He continues to release albums and write music for films, plays, advertisements, orchestras, and his own band.

Geno's inspirations are Elvis, The Beatles, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, his father Mark Gottschall and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I have a passion for music and enjoy sharing that with other people and passing it on to future music makers.
