Georgiana Pletea

Georgiana Pletea is a talented pianist and music educator with Romanian and Swiss roots. Her musical education began at the "George Enescu" Music College in Bucharest and continued at the Music Academy in Basel, where she earned her master's degrees in Specialized Musical Performance - Soloist and Music Pedagogy with distinction in 2019. She pursued further post-graduate studies in 2020.

At the age of 16, Georgiana performed at the Romanian Athenaeum with the G. Enescu Orchestra Bucharest. In Switzerland, she has performed successfully multiple times with the Basel Symphony Orchestra and with the Orchestra Society Weil am Rhein.

Georgiana has attended numerous master classes with renowned pianists and has been awarded many national and international prizes, including the Rahn Music Prize for Piano and the Concorso Argento in Italy. Her concert activities have taken her to prestigious stages and festivals worldwide, including the Bozar in Brussels and the World Music Concert at the City Hall in Brisbane, Australia.

As an author, she published the book "Reading Music in Piano Lessons." Her debut CD featuring works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Ravel was released in 2023. Georgiana is passionate about teaching piano students of all ages and is known for her patient and inspiring teaching style.
