About
My name is German. I studied music with emphasis in classical guitar in the Del Valle University in Colombia. For more than 20 years I taught guitar and piano to students of all ages. Since I was a teenager I studied and practiced rock electric guitar. I love the instrument above any genre. I know both guitar worlds, classical and rock, and that gives me an interesting approach that I share with my students. I do my best to make my lessons fun and interesting.
Teaching Style
Guitar or piano dexterity is always earned with effort, discipline and practice. I share with my students my long time experience in training my fingers.
One of my greatest interests in life is the development of creativity. I always will find a fun and creative way for you to achieve your goals in learning music.
Dexterity, creativity and having fun are the foundations of my teaching style.

Guitar Method by Will Schmidt and Greg Koch. Published by Hal Leonard (It covers the basics with clarity and precision. It combines pentagram and tablature.)
Learn to play country guitar by Phil Capone (Great graphics for scales and chords. Has some interesting exercises for the right hand)
The complete jazz guitar method Vol. 1 by Jody Fisher (Great for pentatonic scales and the basics of improvising)
Chord Chemistry by Ted Greene. ( It´s not fun but it has a Vast amount of Chords and voicings. For consultation basically)
Countless studies and preludes by Tarrega, Fernando Sor, Mateo Carcassi to name a few.
