I have been teaching all my life and I can say that this is my true passion.
I taught French in Italy then moved to California about 20 years ago, and I decided to switch to my mother tongue: Italian.
I taught in person at Chico State University for 6 years, then online for different Companies, and finally on my own, on Zoom.
In my opinion, having fun is the first requirement for a successful class.
And my classes are fun!
I try to personalize as much as possible my lesson so that students are emotionally involved. I use stories, dialogues, YouTube videos, songs, and everything that can make you closer to the Italian culture, like cooking recipes, travel reports, cultural events, etc.

The method I am using is T.P.R.S. (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling), - please google it.
This method recreates the process that a little child goes through when he learns to talk and it is based on questions and answers, listening, and repetitions.
I had been looking for something like this all my life. I was never satisfied with the results I was getting with grammar and traditional teaching.
When I met this method about 6 years ago, it was love at first sight.
I got trained for 4 semesters and now I am successfully using it with my students.
