About
Gordon Lewis is a freelance musician/composer based out of Colorado. He has been performing and touring over a decade. He currently composes music for films/commercials while teaching and running his record label.
Gordon grew up in northern Minnesota playing bluegrass music and singing in church. He went on to attend the Perpich Center for the Arts in Golden Valley, MN. During this time he played in metal and punk bands. He then went on to get his Associate of Arts Degree from Mesabi Range Community College. After attending two more colleges he then went on to tour the country with his duo Roma Ransom. Gordon has written music for films/commercials for companies such as Patagonia, Bud Light, Vice, Huckberry, YETI, Xtratuf and many more.
Gordon's teaching style is organized yet free form, he works to make sure that the students be teaches learn what they need to but also have a good time doing so! Gordon will help anyone who is willing to learn how to develop their skill and work on their craft. He is patient and easy going with a desire to make every class engaging and enjoyable.

I use a wide variety of teaching methods to teach students. I have numerous books that can help students understand certain aspects about music and their instrument they are learning on.
I recommend reading Hal Leonard books for beginners-intermediate players.
