About
With over a decade of extensive musical training encompassing piano, voice, violin, guitar, and ukulele, Grace Alai boasts a rich history of musical experience, both as a performer and as an educator. An award winning opera-singer holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, Alai also earned a K-12 Music Education Certificate issued by the state of Pennsylvania, extending their skills to include string, brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments. Beyond instrumental instruction, Grace brings a wealth of experience in teaching various musical disciplines, including music theory, music history, music technology, ear training/solfège, and eurhythmics. This diverse foundation enables Grace to approach music education with a holistic and enriched perspective.
Outside the realm of teaching, Grace is an active and versatile performer, engaging in opera, theatre, and film. Additionally, Grace is a skilled songwriter and producer. In addition to their studies of Vocal Performance and Music Education, Alai completed minors in music technology and drama
