About

Grace Rodgers, originally from Detroit, is a Los Angeles based violinist who enjoys a varied musical career spanning from classical to pop.  Grace often works with current artists, and has been a part of studio recordings and live productions for Blackbear, Kesha, Lea Michele, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Rita Ora, Postmodern Jukebox, Sarah Brightman, BØRNS, Megadeth, Gallant, Sabrina Carpenter, and many others. Ms. Rodgers is at home on the stage and has played for shows such as American Idol, and is the solo violinist for illusionist Ivan Amodei on his national tour. Grace also has extensive experience in the orchestral and recording worlds playing for albums, films, and other performances.

Ms. Rodgers has participated in orchestral and chamber music festivals working with other musicians and renowned faculty from around the globe. These include Zephyr International Music Festival in Italy,  Bowdoin International Music Festival in Maine, and National Music Festival in Maryland. 

Grace earned her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Violin Performance from Wayne State University under Dr. Laura Roelofs. 

In addition to performing, Ms. Rodgers has maintained a private teaching studio since 2009, and has also taught at a number of schools, music education programs, and chamber music organizations such as String Project@ Wayne, Harmony Project - Hollywood Youth Orchestra, Crescendo Young Musicians Guild, Michigan School for the Arts, Rhodes School of Music, and others. 

Ms. Rodgers has maintained a private studio since 2009. She specializes in catering to the individual student's needs, while instilling the basics of violin performance. Grace teaches a combination of The Suzuki Method and traditional methods (scales, etudes, etc.) In her private studio, students are pushed to learn a solid technical foundation while always developing and growing with musicality. 

Aside from her private studio, Ms. Rodgers was a String Project Instructor for four years at Wayne State University teaching group violin classes and string orchestra. Grace has taught at after school music programs such as Michigan School for the Arts, Crescendo Young Musicians Guild, and Harmony Project - Hollywood Youth Orchestra.
