My teaching approach is focused on developing techniques that fit every student individually. Creating the practice routine with maximum efficiency. The first step is determining what level the student is at. Then finding the best approach to improve technique by learning scales and specific exercises. The next step is studying theory which going to include Harmony and the way it is applied to compositional and improvisational vocabulary. And finally searching for your own sound. Building your own taste. Expanding the understanding of different genres and styles and how the tone makes a difference in every style of music.
Bachelor in Professional Music and Performance, Berklee College of Music 2019.
Han is a great bass instructor! I really appreciate the lessons I had with him.
He has a lot of patience to teach, and if the student doesn't understand something, he doesn't advance until the student gets it!
He really focuses on the most fundamental things which were very important to me as a beginner student. Han responds to any questions that the student asks. I really recommend him to anyone that needs a good and encouraging teacher.
Han is the teacher you want to have to correct nuances of your playing if you already play or to start really solid if you are a beginner. He is very methodic and focuses on one thing at a time, pushing the student to fully learn the skills. He is straight and demandant in the best way possible! I have a very positive learning experience with him, each time a lesson came to an end I felt inspired and willing to practice more and more.
I truly enjoyed having lessons with Han. We learned about bass and music in general to me it was eye opening! He explains the theory very clearly and has a really good technical approach that I found very helpful.
