Heather Salazar

I am a certified French teacher in Texas and have 12 years of experience teaching French levels 1 to AP 4. I have studied in Paris and Tours in France, including a program at La Sorbonne in Paris. I have also studied French in Québec, Canada, and have practical experience using French during travels in Europe and Morocco. French is my passion and I love sharing it with people who want to learn this beautiful language!

I believe in a teaching program that incorporates listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. As students progress in ability, they become more confident using the language and can expand their vocabulary. I use a variety of activities to help students become more proficient in all 4 areas of language learning so they can use the language in practical experiences. Rote learning is important when studying irregular verbs and other grammar concepts, but fluency comes with using the language and applying one's learning.
