About

Hello! I am a classical guitarist, arranger, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and music teacher.

Graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music, my areas of concentration were music production, arranging and music education. There I studied with world-renowned musicians such as Berta Rojas, Mick Goodrick and David Tronzo who showed me a variety of guitar works and presented me with incredible opportunities. Back in Brazil, I also had the opportunity to study with Marcus Tardelli who is one of the most remarkable guitarists in the world. With him I developed a different kind of technique based on de-patterning that provides ways of playing harmonies that are impossible using traditional technique and that gave me what I needed to achieve the sound I was looking for.

Currently, I am working part-time teaching at Bay Ridge School of Music and to some private students, working on my first solo album and producing some local artists in Rio de Janeiro. I enjoy keeping a balance between teaching and performing/producing, since I believe one side always benefits the other. When I am working on my music, I eventually come across something interesting that I will bring up on some lessons. The same way, when I am teaching, something comes up that shows me possibilities I use on my solo work. So this kind of exchange is very fulfilling and makes me want to explore both sides more and more.

If you are interested in having lessons with me, please contact me and we can begin learning the art of making beautiful music!

I have been teaching music for almost 10 years now and I can say it is one of the most rewarding jobs one can have. Seeing the happiness of a student when he/she masters something they were having a hard time with is priceless.

My teaching style is totally focused on the student. First, I like to talk and assess what the student's objectives are with music. With that in mind, I propose exercises applied to music he/she likes. I always teach with the purpose of making music and for that, we are always playing/listening to music. My main purpose is to make the student independent and in lessons we build skills to achieve that goal. The process is individualized and adapted for each person.
