About

My name is Iker Cedeno,

I have been teaching guitar and music theory since I was 18 years old and I have been playing guitar for 28 years. As a student, I had the privilege  to study with internationally acclaimed  guitar players such as Costas Cotsiolis, Manolo Sanlucar and Joe Stomp to name a few. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2010 with a degree in Performance. In 2019 I got my masters degree in Music Production, Technology & Innovation from Berklee College of Music as well. I have made music for radio programs, short films and commercials.  I have collaborated with some of the best guitar players in the world such as Richard Smith (American guitar champion), Pete Huttlinger (American guitar champion), and Tommy Emmanuel (Grammy nominee) among many others.

I have been playing guitar for 28 years. I have toured in Mexico and in the United States. I have played live in TV and radio shows in Mexico. I have made music for short films, radio programs and virtual reality experiences. I have shared credits with some of the best guitar players in the world such as Richard Smith (American guitar champion), Pete Huttlinger (American guitar champion), and Tommy Emmanuel (Grammy nominee). In 2019 I made a short film where I was the director, editor, music composer and sound designer. The film was shown at the Hemispheric planetarium in Valencia Spain and in the City of Arts and Science in the same city.

I like to motive my students to improve constantly. I like to be friendly and always have a positive attitude towards my students.  I always try to adapt to my students' musical preferences and guide them so that they can play the music they like.

I put emphasis in achieving a good technique because to me, that's the foundation to be able to play any style of music one wants. I can also teach music theory at any level. I also like my students to learn songs so that they feel they are improving. I believe in being flexible and adapt to my students needs.
