About
I am a Franco-Greek accordionist (b.1985) currently based in Athens. I have studied the classical accordion at the Conservatory in Luxembourg, at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen [Germany](BA) and at the Royal Academy of Music in London (MA).
My repertoire is comprised of classical and contemporary pieces, that I perform in solo recitals, chamber music ensembles and in orchestras all over Europe. I am also interested in traditional and ethnic music, which I play with various music groups, mostly in Greece.
I also collaborate with performance artists, especially dancers, on productions which incorporate the musician as an active participant both on stage and in the narrative.
I have been giving private accordion lessons for 15 years, and 2 years via Skype
My fundamental goal is to unlock the student’s potential by varying my teaching style and being innovative. Every student has different needs, tastes and goals and they are for me the key to progressing and enjoying playing. The lessons cover: technical skills, body position and control of the instrument, expansion the repertoire, musical theory, how to play with other instruments and how to deal with stress on stage. Every level and repertoire are welcome.
