Irina Pavlović is a jazz pianist and composer from Belgrade, Serbia. She started playing the flute at age seven and began her musical education in Prague, Czech Republic where she lived for two years. After she returned to her hometown of Belgrade, she discovers the piano and continues further education by playing the both instruments. The piano soon became her primary instrument and jazz music her fascination.

EDUCATION: 

She graduated at “Stankovic” School of Music, jazz department, in the class of Prof. Milos Krstic. Since 2012 is studying in Vienna, Austria “Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien“, jazz department,  in the class of  Prof. Oliver Kent.  In 2016 she received Bachelor of Arts Degree with distinction and continues her  Master of Art Education studies.  

         

Irina is currently cooperating in projects with the following musicians/bands:  Dean Bowman, The BluesTone Band, Joris Dudli, Frantisek Urlih.                                                                                                   She performed in countries including: Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria and of course Serbia.

FESTIVALS: Jazz festival in Valjevo, Pancevo and “Art and Blues World Music Festival “(Serbia), “MM Marianne Mendt Jazz Festival” (Austria), “Fusion and Gospel Festival” (Romania)

Irina wrote more than thirty compositions and is also a member of the Union of Composers   “AKM” in Vienna.

She is developing as the artist, composer, arranger and educator with a focus of interests and influences of the traditional jazz (swing, be-bop, hard-bop), blues, gospel and Afro-Cuban music.

I  offer lessons for beginners to advanced students with different teaching methods.  I always try to combine the understanding between harmony, theory and rhythm, motivate students and encourage their creativity .
