About
I'm a professor of Jazz Guitar at Towson University and I've been successfully teaching students Jazz for over a decade. I'm all about making the lessons work for you and your goals as a student. Here’s some info about me as a teacher and musician: I've toured and performed at a multitude of venues (including venues in DC such as 930 club, Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival, and The Strathmore). I have a Bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York Cit, as well as years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. I teach a wide array of genres including: jazz, rock, pop, funk, blues, folk, country- and have extensive knowledge of music theory, advanced harmony, rhythm, ear training, improvisation, composition, as well as sound and sight reading development. Looking forward to teaching you!
I like to start with a discussion of their goals, and adjust my lesson plans to ensure we are always working toward them!
