About

As a seasoned musician and composer, my journey in the world of music extends over two decades, encompassing a lifelong pursuit of proficiency in instruments like guitar, drums, and piano. My expertise isn't just limited to playing instruments; I also delve into the intricate realms of audio engineering and production, catering to a diverse clientele.

My musical tastes are eclectic, spanning genres from the pulsating rhythms of hip-hop to the intense beats of metal. However, my true artistic essence resonates with the soulful melodies of blues, funk, and soul, the intricate harmonies of jazz, the exploratory nature of psychedelic music, the energy of rock, the creativity of alternative tunes, and the serene soundscapes of ambient music.

Throughout my career, I've been an integral part of various bands, contributing not only as a guitarist and drummer but also playing a pivotal role in songwriting, arranging, and production processes.

I am committed to nurturing the musical journey of each of my students. My approach to online guitar lessons is centred around the unique needs, goals, and abilities of every individual. I believe in crafting lessons that are not just educational but also deeply engaging and personalized.

My teaching style goes beyond the basics of guitar playing. I encourage students to think critically and adopt an open-minded perspective, ensuring they develop not just as musicians but as holistic learners. This approach not only enriches their understanding of music but also equips them with valuable skills for lifelong learning.

In each session, students can expect a blend of practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and creative exploration, all tailored to help them reach their full potential. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, my lessons are designed to foster your growth and ignite your passion for music.

I was part of the gifted music program throughout high school, focusing on musical performance, audio engineering, and songwriting. I didn't attend post-secondary studies, I worked full-time to afford my own housing and continued my education privately and via my creative projects.

I've played at numerous venues across Toronto such as Lee's Palace, the Horseshoe Tavern, the Cathedral, The Rock Pile, Nightowl, Charlie's Gallery, the Smiling Buddha, the Painted Lady and Grossman's Tavern to name a few. I've also played in some festivals such as the Montreal Fringe Festival, Ontario Place's Mac n' Cheese Festival, Woodbine Music Festival, and Afro Fest.

I've worked on studio albums with four different bands and have been a session musician on different recording projects as well.

I specialize in personalized online guitar lessons, tailored to the unique needs and goals of each student. I emphasize critical thinking and a holistic learning approach, going beyond basic guitar skills to foster comprehensive musical and personal growth.
