About

Hi, I’m Jacqueline Briggs, a certified Master Life Coach, Youth Mentor, and seasoned music educator with decades of experience in songwriting, vocal performance, and artist development. My passion is helping individuals discover their unique voice, overcome challenges, and build confidence in their creative journey.

Whether you’re an aspiring songwriter, a performer looking to strengthen your stage presence, or an artist aiming to craft a unique identity, I offer personalized coaching tailored to your goals. My sessions provide a safe, supportive space to grow creatively and emotionally while achieving your dreams.

I have devoted my career to helping individuals of all ages discover their creative potential and build confidence through music and self-expression. My journey began at the age of seven when I started vocal training, and by fifteen, I was recording in professional studios. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with major labels and renowned artists, honing my skills in songwriting, vocal performance, and artist development.

My professional milestones include working with one of the world’s largest music publishing companies, where I contributed as both an artist and a songwriter. I’ve also performed and recorded across various genres, deepening my understanding of music’s transformative power.

Beyond my personal artistic journey, I’ve expanded my focus to teaching and coaching. I’m a certified Master Life Coach, Youth Mentor, and Pediatric Behavioral Therapist, which allows me to approach my work with a holistic perspective. My experience includes:

  • Developing and leading music and performance programs that combine technical training with emotional and creative growth.
  • Helping students overcome stage fright, build confidence, and refine their unique artistic identities.
  • Offering tailored coaching in songwriting, vocal performance, and music production to individuals of all skill levels.

One of my proudest achievements is founding True Talent Songwriting, Expression & Artist Development, a program that empowers students to connect with their authentic selves through music. Through this program, I’ve helped students gain the confidence to perform on stage, produce their own music, and grow as both artists and individuals.

These experiences have not only shaped me as an artist and educator but have also instilled a deep passion for helping others believe in themselves and their creative abilities.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is rooted in creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where students feel free to explore their creativity and grow as individuals. I believe that music and self-expression are powerful tools for building confidence, fostering emotional resilience, and igniting a sense of joy in learning.

I tailor my lessons to meet the unique goals and abilities of each student, ensuring they feel both challenged and supported at every step of their journey. Whether we’re working on songwriting, vocal performance, or building stage confidence, I incorporate a blend of technical instruction, creative exploration, and positive reinforcement.

I emphasize connection—helping students discover their authentic voice while developing the technical skills to express it. My lessons are highly interactive, combining fun and practical exercises with opportunities for self-reflection and personal growth. For students seeking performance opportunities, I also guide them in preparing to showcase their talents with confidence and pride.

Above all, my goal is to help students not only develop their musical and creative abilities but also build a stronger sense of self-belief and the confidence to shine in all areas of their lives.

Curriculum

My teaching method is highly personalized, focusing on the unique needs and goals of each student. I believe in blending foundational technical skills with creative exploration to keep lessons engaging, fun, and impactful.

  • For songwriting, I guide students through the art of storytelling by exploring melody, rhythm, and lyrics, often incorporating prompts and exercises to spark creativity.
  • For vocal performance, I emphasize breath control, projection, tone, and stage presence, incorporating warm-ups and affirmations to build confidence.
  • For performance confidence coaching, I work with students on overcoming stage fright through visualization techniques, positive reinforcement, and practical rehearsal strategies.

I also incorporate real-world applications into lessons, such as breaking down popular songs for analysis, helping students craft their original works, and even introducing them to basic music production concepts when relevant.

My approach is always student-centered, ensuring that each lesson feels purposeful and connected to the student’s personal and creative goals.

I believe in adapting resources to match the student’s learning style and musical interests, so I often recommend:

  1. Songwriting:

    • Writing Better Lyrics by Pat Pattison
    • Songwriting Without Boundaries by Pat Pattison
    • The Art of Songwriting by Ed Bell
  2. Vocal Performance:

    • Set Your Voice Free by Roger Love
    • The Singing Athlete by Andrew Byrne
  3. Stage Performance & Confidence:

    • The Inner Game of Music by Barry Green
    • Effortless Mastery by Kenny Werner
  4. Young Beginners:

    • My First Piano Adventure by Nancy and Randall Faber (if instrument work is included)
    • Customized worksheets and exercises tailored to their needs.
