Jade Jaffee
About
Hi! I'm Jade, a cellist currently working towards a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory. I have held principal & assistant principal positions at the Grammy-winning New York Youth Symphony, Manhattan School of Music Precollege, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute. I have also had the opportunity to study extensively under the founding cellists of the Manhattan Piano Trio and American String Quartet.
Teaching Style
I want my students to feel like confident and curious musicians. Whether you are picking the cello back up for the first time in decades, or are aiming towards a conservatory education, you deserve to feel comfortable with your instrument. I center my practice and teaching around tension-free, goal-oriented learning.
Curriculum
I come from a proud family of public school educators. My goal is to meet you where you are and personalize each lesson to expand your strengths.
