Teaching Style
Open and conversational. My primary focus is that the student is excited and understands the subject matter. They should have in their minds a growing picture of the large scope of Music.
Curriculum
In a first lesson, I will gain an understanding of where the student is currently at in terms of their knowledge of the instrument, making sure they truly know and understand what they already know. Once the foundation is solid, we can build upon it. I also like to find songs the student likes which we can pull lessons out of to avoiding learning "Yankee Doodle" and such.
