Raised in rural Idaho, Jared had a flair for music since he first touched a piano. Composing and playing piano as a child, he went on to drums in the public school program. After much practice and passion, Jared was referred to the local college and at the age of 14 was in collegiate music groups and taking lessons with professional musicians. Since then and after a BA in Music, Jared continues to learn and grow.
I customize my teaching style to each student. Everyone learns differently, and it is important for educators to work through the avenues that resonate most with a student. I also have a lot of experience with working with students with special needs and taking that into account for how I teach them.
I am a BA in music from BYU-I.
For the students, we work together based on their goals what texts we should use. There are metal and rock books, or jazz and hip hop. However, Stick Control is required text despite level.
