About

Pianist and organist Jeb began piano study at the age of seven. At 11 he enrolled at the Silvermine School of Music in Norwalk, CT studying with Juliet Shaw and Sandra Shaw-Murphy. At 15 he started college-level study with Karen Shaw, Professor of Piano at Indiana University School of Music.

Jeb received a Bachelors in Piano from Indiana under Dr. Shaw, and Masters in Piano from State University of New York, Purchase, under Stephanie Brown.

He also studied with German Diez in New York, protege of international pianist Claudio Arrau. He has performed for many famous pianists, including Anthony Newman, Leslie Howard, David Dubal, Sarah Davis Buechner, Jeffrey Swan and Leonard Hokanson.

He has studied organ performance with pianist/organist Randall Atcheson and is currently Atcheson's Assistant Minister of Music at First Presbyterian Church, Greenwich, CT. In June 2006 he attended Yale School of Music's Church Music Clinic, led by all Yale organ faculty.

Jeb runs two piano studios in Stamford  and Norwalk, CT, as well as online teaching and advanced coaching programs. He loves teaching, watching students achieve goals, and looks forward to working with you!

I've run my own piano studios for 14 years, and been a concert pianist playing  over 30 years.

Students have ranged from beginners of all ages (about 5 to seniors) to advanced players and adults who each have custom goals (pieces they want to learn, music schools they want to audition for, etc.)

I'm very experienced in teaching a wide range of students and needs. One specialty is helping busy students accomplish more in less time: mock practice sessions at their lessons.

Teaching is a love, not just a job I like.  A mentor always said: "At the end of the day, who's learned more? The student, or the teacher?"

Adults returning to piano: helping them play the songs they love, and equipping them with the technique to do it.

Advanced players and coaching students: repertoire based on custom goals. We define these from day 1, and monitor consistently.
