About
I am a Canadian living in Buenos Aires, Argentina since 2003. I am a certified TEFL English instructor since 2017. I have taught English classes for adults, teenagers, and children in the TEFL training program, accredited by the University of Fort Hays in the US. I have worked for several different companies of language services in Buenos Aires: Lew Idiomas in 2017 and 2018, Language Consulting Group in 2018 and 2019, and BA Language Group in 2018 and 2019.
I speak Spanish with almost native fluency and have an excellent grasp on the structure and grammar of the language. In 2009 I did language teacher training with Berlitz.
I have been playing violin since the age of five and teaching Suzuki violin since 2007 in several different churches and small music schools including a music school in the local Bible college. I have performed with the violin in hundreds of churches across the northeastern United States. In the past few years I have done three courses of Suzuki teacher training with the Suzuki center here in Buenos Aires: Suzuki Philosophy, Suzuki Book 1, and Suzuki Book 2.
I have studied Ministerial Music in a Christian music school here in Buenos Aires called Instituto Canzión Argentina with a major in piano.
I teach violin with the Suzuki Method which involves learning by ear before learning to read music.
My method for teaching languages simply put is repetition of vocabulary, conversation, videos, and some grammar, depending on the student.
