About
My name is Jeremy. I am a native English speaker and I teach English as a foreign and second language. I live in a small town in Vermont in the northeast of the United States, but I grew up and went to school in the United Kingdom. I have a passion for travel and exploring new places and languages. I speak Greek fluently and I am currently learning German and French. When I am not teaching, I spend my leisure time reading and playing my collection of musical instruments.
I have 30 years of English language teaching experience. I began teaching English as a foreign language in 1993 in private language schools in Athens, Greece where I prepared students for the Cambridge IELTS, B2 First, C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency exams as well as the ETS TOEFL exam.
In 2008, I moved to New York City where I spent two years working as an ESL (English as a second language) instructor and an academic coordinator at a private language institute.
Since 2013 I have been providing students worldwide with personalized English language classes online.
My classes are highly personalized, flexible, and fun, focusing on the immediate language needs of the student whether they be academic goals such as English language certificates or the professional English language skills necessary in the modern workplace. I like to think of myself as a personal language assistant who is always willing to provide students with exactly the right kind of support they need when developing their English language skills.
