Jessica Pasquarello

I’m a native English speaker from the United States and have spent years teaching languages to students of all levels and ages. Most recently, I taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes to adult learners in rural Guatemala. I’ve also taught online, and some of my students have told me that they learned more in one class with me than in years of formal study! 

Aside from teaching English, I also teach Spanish classes. I tutored some of the University of Georgia’s college athletes in Spanish through the Rankin Smith Center, and I’ve also helped elementary and high school students through companies like Tutor Doctor and private lessons. 

I’ve TEFL-certified and have my Master’s degree, and I’d love to help meet students wherever they are on their language journeys. 

As a language learner myself, I know how frustrating it is to realize that, when it comes time to actually put your language skills to use outside the classroom, you can’t! I’ve been in your shoes, and I’m here to make language learning engaging and practical—grounded in real-world examples about topics that you care about. We learn grammar, but we also apply it to a real-world context and practice creating sentences and making conversation. I strive to create a warm classroom environment, where mistakes are welcomed as part of the process!
