About
Jessica is a flutist based in the New York metropolitan area. She is an accomplished soloist and chamber musician, having performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and worked in professional recording sessions. Jessica is a Presser Scholar, two-time Molnar-Harris Chamber Competition winner, the winner of the Purchase College Concerto Competition, and participated in the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival Fellowship Program. In addition to her work as a performer and educator, she is an active member of the New York Flute Club and regularly plays for the memory impaired residents of a nursing home.
Jessica has experience teaching musicians of all age and experience levels. In addition to giving private lessons, she has given sectionals to high school flutists in concert band. Jessica aims to challenge students by giving them repertoire and exercises that will improve their technique, but also ensure that they have fun with what they are working on. She provides a flexible educational environment, catering to each individual student's needs. Jessica seeks to provide her students the support to achieve their musical goals. Her students become well versed in repertoire spanning from Baroque sonatas to modern-day contemporary music.
