Jhoan García

Highly skilled Chicago-based trumpeter, Jhoan García brings orchestral precision, lyrical phrasing, and expressive versatility to every lesson. He earned a Performance Certificate at DePaul University, an Artist Diploma from TCU, and a Master of Music from the University of Houston. As former principal trumpet of the Bogotá Symphony, Jhoan has also performed with orchestras including Omaha, Sarasota, and Nashville, and appears on the festival and chamber music circuits. Equally at home in Latin American and commercial styles, he also serves as Principal Trumpet with the Illinois Philharmonic and section trumpet with the Peoria Symphony.
