I have taught piano and Spanish, sometimes together, for many years and in two US states and three countries. 

I enjoy connecting with students and seeing their progress as they develop a greater appreciation for what they’re learning and in turn expand their worldview. 

I’ve lived in Spanish speaking countries, taught in Spanish and have had certification in K-12 Spanish 

I’ve been teaching piano to beginning and intermediate students for almost 30 years in English and in Spanish. Music theory is one of my favorite subjects, and I teach traditional piano as well as a chording approach.

I'm a nationally certified teacher of music through the Music Teachers National Association. I graduated from Taylor University in 2001 with a minor in piano pedagogy and a major in Spanish education.
My teaching style is student-focused, with an emphasis on students' goals.
