About

Few artists embody the spirit of classic soul, jazz, and R&B like Jill Desiree, she follows in the tradition of artists like Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston by blending evocative vocals. Her debut EP, "Cover Story," offers listeners an introduction to a unique mix of powerful R&B vocals and the equally adventurous improvisations of Jill's collaborators. Born in Australia, raised in Indonesia, and educated at Berklee College of Music with a B.A. in Music Performance and California State University Northridge with a M.A. in Music Business Administration, Jill is an accredited vocal coach by the Music Teachers’ Association of New South Wales, Australia with eighteen years of teaching experience in contemporary music vocal coaching, music theory, and developing lesson plans. Jill is also an independent artist, producer, and songwriter with songs distributed through most major digital outlets such as Spotify and Apple Music. She is currently in Los Angeles CA.

Jill dives into the technical aspects of vocal studies, music theory, and music appreciation, but most of all she loves to pull the creative side of her students as individuals to find their inner "voice". She develops lesson plans to seek out the best method and/or approach for each individual's needs and talents.  She does her best to guide her students through the fundamentals of singing, music production for the contemporary singers and navigating the music industry.
