Joe Hayes

Hey! My name is Joe Hayes and I have been playing guitar for over half my life (I'm 29 now). I have done many lessons over the years for beginning guitar players, particularly on acoustic, helping people understand the basics and get a feel for the instrument.  I also have a great passion for electric guitar and lead guitar and all that comes with that, in many genres. I play rock, country, folk, soul, r&b, and worship music on electric the best I believe. I consider myself more of a player for feeling and passion more than a theorist, but would absolutely love to share my gift with you and what I've learned over the years. I have been playing contemporary worship for over 11 years as well in small and mega churches and everything in between both acoustic and lead electric. Please reach out if you are interested! I want to teach you how to get comfortable behind a guitar, and with me you will learn many of the basics on acoustic with chords and scales, as well as some fingerpicking and arpeggiation. If you want to learn electric; especially lead electric, my main focus is how to listen to the progression of each song and other musicians so that you can fit well in a band setting and play tastefully , integrating yourself and style into the band you are with. I want you to be you on guitar, to really hone in and find your own sound. That is my passion for guitar players.
