About

Joel Rosario Beltré, born on December 23, 1990, began self-taught guitar studies at age 14. He later attended the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and the National Conservatory of Music of the Dominican Republic under Rubén González Ávila.

Beltré has showcased his talent as a soloist in the "Ethos Guitar Festival" and participated in theatrical productions like "El Hombre De La Mancha" and "Iremos A Verona", receiving nominations for the 2015 Soberano Awards in Dominican Republic. He achieved second place in the international "Promesas de la Guitarra" competition in Costa Rica in March 2013 and won second prize in the national classical guitar competition in Santo Domingo in May 2014.

Beltré has received master classes from esteemed guitarists such as Martha Masters (USA) and Roland Dyens (France). He completed his studies in 2016 under Rubén González Ávila and obtained a composition diploma with Darwin Aquino.

Additionally, Beltré has worked as a composer, arranger, and musical director on various projects and private events.

Currently a music teacher and lead guitar in the Afro Dominican project "Pororó", well recognized in Dominican Republic by a great organic audience.

The style demonstrated by Joel is primarily adaptive, varying depending on the student, with the main objective of instilling a love for music. This is achieved through focusing on achieving high technical proficiency on the instrument and delivering clear emotional interpretation.

As Joel Rosario comes from the lineage of the Cuban Guitar school, it is natural that one of the main recommendations is the Isaac Nicola Method, which focuses on classical technique, while adapting it to contemporary music, students have the opportunity to learn from the best guitarists of all time and apply that knowledge to current musical contexts.
