My name is Joel Sopel. I am an experienced guitar teacher who just moved to New York from London.
Patient, focused and goal-driven in my lessons, I make sure my students are always enjoying themselves whilst learning.
My thirteen years of experience (70+ pupils per week) teaching both privately and in schools have made me knowledgeable in many different teaching approaches, enabling me to adapt to the particular needs of each type of student. I have taught from ages 3 up to 80.

As an experienced guitar teacher, my main focus has always been to instill a love of music. I’m knowledgeable in many different teaching approaches, enabling me to adapt to the particular needs of each type of student. My expertise spans a variety of musical styles including, but not limited to, Rock, Pop and Classical. Focused and goal-driven in my lessons, I make sure my students are always enjoying themselves whilst learning. My thirteen years of experience have provided me with a vast knowledge of the guitar, music theory and performance techniques, all of which are evident in my skills as a music teacher.
