Johnny Kongo

Johnny Kongo has 20+ years experience playing upright bass and electric bass. Johnny specifically teaches honky-tonk, country western, and rockabilly styles as well as old time rock and blues.   Classes are aimed at kids or adults from beginner to intermediate level. Advanced lessons can be arranged depending on the students personal tastes. 

Johnny has been a professional performer for the last 12 years playing live shows all over the USA.  Originally from Colorado, Johnny now resides in Da Nang, Vietnam.  Currently his band The Johnny Kongo Trio plays 75-100 gigs per year in South East Asia.  Johnny has taught basic bass for 5 years primarily to children and young adults aspiring toward country western and rockabilly styles.
