I began playing the guitar at age 11. I come from a classic rock/punk/metal/hardcore background and ventured into various sub-genres catered to these styles throughout my High School years when I started writing and recording my own music while playing in various bands throughout the tri-state area. As a self-taught musician, I decided to pursue my studies further at the Berklee College of Music, where I focused on broadening my musical palette and immersed myself with different styles. Contemporary, Fusion, Jazz, Latin, and Progressive Metal/Rock are just a few examples. During my time in Boston, I studied with John Baboian, Jon Finn, Dave Fiuzcynski, Dave Gilmore, Mick Goodrick, Don Lappin, Tim Miller, and Norm Zocher.
I am passionate about being able to share the love of music and helping musicians grow on their way to becoming the artist they desire themselves to be. I am excited share what I've discovered over my years of playing and learning.
Knowing that every student learns differently, I formulate personalized lesson plans that will help everyone grow in endless ways as a musician. Whether you're applying for music school, trying to improve your technique or just want to learn how to play some of your favorite songs, I can assure you that I will get you to those places.
We can cover everything from fretboard knowledge, basic to advanced theory & harmony, soloing approaches in all styles, strategies for learning alternate picking/sweep picking and other advanced techniques, arpeggios and scales, as well as learning your favorite songs and breaking them down to see how they are constructed, fingerpicking, note reading and many other topics.
