Jonah Salen
About
Jonah Salen is a well rounded musician well versed in all major styles including Jazz, Funk, Rock, Pop, Reggae, Country and Afro-Cuban. Jonah is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a B.A. in Drumset Performance. He has played extensivley in the studio and also live while living in Boston. While in Boston Jonah was a touring member of Gatch, a Pop/Rock band from the Boston area. Jonah also was a part of Cover Story Entertainment, a wedding band from the Boston area. While studying at Berklee Jonah had the pleasure to work with many world class instructors, including Dave DiCenso, Kenwood Dennard, Jackie Santos, Skip Hadden, Henrique De Almeida and Sergio Belloti.
Hi, I'm Jonah,
With my lessons we will focus on reading adaptability, improvisational playing, applying fundamental techniques, melodic playing and most importantly, groove. I welcome students of all ages to my lessons no matter your level of playing or your ability. If students want to focus on a specific style, technique, genre I will be more than happy to help them understand and learn that specific area of drumming. I am a very patient teacher with ample amount of expierence and I only want to see my students excel in their craft.
