About

Growing up in Auburndale Florida,  I has studied classical guitar for over 10 years earning a Bachelor's and Master's in guitar performance at Florida Southern College and Austin Peay State University. I has over two years experience teaching students proper technique, efficient practice, music theory, improv, classical training, and various other styles such as blues, jazz, rock and acoustic fingerstyle.

I has experience teaching music appreciation courses and enjoys teaching students how to enrich their lives with music. I love to teach students how to learn for themselves and develop practical goals to accomplish their musical interests. I hope to teach through the students' personal musical interests in order to form their own repertoire through their musical and technical development. I hope to teach all students from beginner to advanced levels in all age groups. We can choose a course of study that suites you (reading-based, style-based, etc.). Feel free to contact me at any time with questions about your practice efforts and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Looking forward to our meeting!

Master's of Music Performance in Classical Guitar at Austin Peay State University and Bachelor's of Music Performance in Classical Guitar at Florida Southern College. Over 2+ years of teaching individual and group guitar lessons in-person. I was an Instructor of Record for Music Appreciation courses at Austin Peay State University.

I enjoy planning my lessons ahead to have a concrete sequence of development for every student. I pull from a number a method books to cater to each students musical interests including Pumping Nylon (Tennat), Classical Guitar Technique from Foundation to Virtuosity (Yates), Guitar Soloing and Rhythm Guitar (Musicians Institute), Hal Leonard's Acoustic and Electric Guitar Books, FJH Young Beginner Guitar Method (Alfred), Berkley Music Theory (Schmeling). Lessons include learning of music theory, incremental technical development, abstract exercises, and playing activity oriented goals.
