My name is Joey and I'm 32.
I began a career in music in West Palm Beach, Fl as a singer/songwriter- guitar player at the age of 18. I moved to Nashville in 2012 to further chase my dream of becoming a premier touring artist. I founded a Rock n Roll band called "Roanoke" that has been on the road since 2014. I consider myself pretty lucky in that I've had the chance to tour the country, Play guitar on some great records, record in some of the most historic studios that Nashville has to offer, play along side (and learn from) some of my favorite musicians who have gone on to play for major rock/country acts, work along side Grammy award winning producer/engineers to create original music that we're very proud of, and open for some of my heroes, Jefferson Starship, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and the Steel Drivers (to name a few).
In my late teens/early twenties I found myself lucky enough to privately study voice under a charting Gospel artist for three years running. I use that knowledge to to create and perform in a band that relies heavily on three part harmonies both live and in the studio. I also, cut my teeth jamming with retired blues players at the clubs in South Florida.
I've had a lot of help from a lot of very talented and generous people who believe in the music that they make, I would love nothing more than to pay it forward

First I'll have you play for me, we'll talk shop for a bit, then we'll discuss goals.
we can dig into scales, theory, song form, etc.. right off the bat (which I don't usually recommend)
or my personal favorite. We can hone in on what your most excited about and start there.
If your looking for extensive music theory training I am NOT your guy
