About
Hello, my name is Joe Richey. I've been playing piano for 15 years. I write and record my own music. I've played in several bands and managed to get lucky enough to have a few live performances for an audience.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is specific to the student. If they need a more direct approach or a just some casual guidance, it depends on the student. The hybrid style or the facilitator style are how I teach.
Curriculum
A combination of exercises to build muscle memory. If the student has a particular song they want to learn we will focus on that, if not I can choose the song, or if I think it's too advanced or basic I will choose an appropriate piece. Microkosmos by Bartok and a dark side of the moon songbook would be the required texts.
