Josh Binkhorst, piano teacher and pianist, runs a successful private piano studio in Brooklyn, New York. He has taught children and adults of all ages, and believes in a positive and individually tailored learning environment.
He is a graduate of Skidmore College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance and won first prize in the 2020 Concerto Competition. He also received the prestigious Johns Award, awarded to an outstanding piano student, in both his Junior and Senior Years.
He is currently a candidate for his Master's Degree in Piano from the Mannes School of Music in New York, NY. He has performed as a soloist, with chamber groups, musical theater productions, and orchestras.
Josh has a deep passion for music of all genres, and can work with students of all ages to help them play music they love while developing strong technique and knowledge of the piano.
I believe in a focused, patient, and positive instruction regardless of a student's musical background. I am comfortable teaching both beginner and advanced students, regardless of age, and tailor my teaching plans to suit every student's individual needs. Every student is unique in their needs and their learning style, and I seek to meet those needs in my lessons.
