JUAN FELIPE HUERFANO TORRES
About
I'm Juan, a music producer and sound engineer with over 10 years of professional experience. I hold a degree in Music with emphasis in Sound Engineering and have worked internationally with clients such as Fox Telecolombia, Uber, National Geographic, and the global sheet music platform Tomplay, where I've been an arranger for over 8 years, creating hundreds of piano arrangements for popular songs.
As a producer, I've worked with artists like Maria Keck, Jéle, and Maryam Smith, blending electronic production with organic instrumentation. My work spans music production, mixing, mastering, sound design, and arranging for both commercial clients and independent artists.
I'm an expert in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and Pro Tools, and my approach is rooted in helping artists and producers finish songs with identity and professional sound quality, overcoming creative and technical blocks along the way.
Teaching Style
My teaching method is 100% personalized and student-centered. I believe every artist has a unique voice, and my role is to help them find it while gaining the tools to express it confidently.
What makes my approach different:
-
We work on YOUR music. No generic exercises – we use your songs as the foundation for every lesson.
-
Practical, focused exercises. Each session isolates one concept (EQ, compression, drum programming, arrangement, etc.) so you can master it through practice and immediately apply it to your projects.
-
Three-part lesson structure: We start with reference analysis (studying a published track), move to a focused technical exercise, and end with creative application on your own music.
-
Creative blocks are part of the process. Self-doubt, technical gaps, or feeling stuck – we address all of it with empathy and practical strategies.
My goal is for you to enjoy the process while developing your own sonic identity. I adapt to your pace and level, whether you're a beginner wanting to make your first track or an experienced producer looking to refine your sound.
Ready to start? I offer a free 30-minute trial lesson – let's meet, discuss your project, and see how I can help you move forward.
